Terms and Conditions

By purchasing any of our products, you agree to all the Terms and Conditions outlined below.

ORDERS

Returns:
We do not accept returns as all products are freshly prepared and perishable. If you receive an incorrect or defective product, please contact us within 4 hours of delivery. We will assess the issue and arrange for a replacement or refund if necessary.

Cancellations/Order Changes:
We do not allow cancellations or changes to orders once they have been placed.

Large Events:
For large events or bookings outside the online shop, cancellations within 3 weeks of the event date are non-refundable. If cancelled more than 6 weeks in advance, a 50% refund will be provided. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the above policy still applies. We can offer an alternative date, but once rescheduled, further changes or cancellations will not be refunded.

Date Reservation:
Due to the high demand for Graze Harvest Tables, we are unable to hold or reserve dates.

DELIVERY

Online Shop:
Reunion Cafe products are handmade and freshly prepared on the day. As they are delicate, they require hand-delivery rather than standard courier shipping.

Delivery Areas:
We hand-deliver to all areas within a 20 km radius of Cape Town. If you're outside this range, please contact us to make arrangements.

Delivery Dates and Times:
We deliver year-round except on national holidays (e.g., Christmas Day). Deliveries are typically made between 9 AM and 4 PM, depending on the product. Morning deliveries are made between 7:30 AM and 10 AM. We do not offer specific delivery windows, so if you need your order by a certain time, we recommend scheduling it for the previous day. All products can be refrigerated easily.

While we aim to deliver within the indicated timeframe, delays may occur during busy periods or due to traffic or weather conditions.

Do I need to be present to accept the delivery?
Yes, the recipient must be present at the provided address to receive the order.

What happens if no one is there to receive my order?
If no one is available to accept the order, the courier will:

  • Attempt delivery to a neighbor, and/or

  • Call you.

For certain locations (e.g., flats or office buildings), leaving the order outside may not be possible. If the delivery attempt fails, we are not responsible for the product and will not accept returns. We can redeliver on an alternate date at full cost as a new order.

Incorrect Delivery Address:
We deliver to the exact address provided at checkout. If the address is incorrect, we are not responsible for redelivering or rerouting the order on the day of delivery. A redelivery on the next available day will be fully chargeable as a new order.

Gift Orders:
The same Terms and Conditions apply to gift orders.

MENU

Produce:
We use fresh, seasonal produce, so products may vary from the images on our website. Any substitutions will be of equal quality.

Food Handling:
Once you receive your order, please refrigerate it and consume within 2 days. It is your responsibility to refrigerate the products upon receipt and discard any items left unrefrigerated for more than 4 hours. Reunion Cafe is not responsible for any reactions caused by consumption beyond these timeframes.

Allergies:
While we do our best to accommodate dietary preferences (e.g., vegan, vegetarian), we cannot guarantee against cross-contamination due to the variety of ingredients handled in our kitchen. Halaal requests will be fulfilled by certified vendors on our behalf.

Plates, Cutlery, and Napkins:
We do not provide biodegradable plates, cutlery, or napkins by default. These can be added to your order via the online shop or invoiced separately upon request.

SOCIAL MEDIA

We often post images and videos of our products on social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook). If you do not wish for your order to be featured, please notify us prior to the project commencement.

CONTACT US

For any inquiries, the best way to reach us is via email. We aim to respond within 24 hours during business hours (Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 4 PM). Response times may be longer during busy periods like Christmas and Easter.

BRANDS AND CORPORATE (Special Orders)

All the above terms apply, plus the following:

Courier and Logistics:
We do not handle deliveries for large or bulk orders by default. Clients must arrange delivery with a third-party courier. For an additional fee, we can arrange courier bookings on your behalf. Delivery addresses must be provided no later than 7 days in advance. Once the courier takes possession of the order, our responsibility ends, and any issues must be addressed directly with the courier.

Missed Deliveries/Rescheduled Deliveries:
We are not responsible for missed deliveries or spoiled products due to redelivery attempts, incorrect addresses, or lack of recipient availability. Refund requests due to lost, stolen, or damaged goods must be directed to the courier.
